When we talk about an effect resulting from a certain cause, we use expressions such as: because, since, as, owing to, due to...

Generic Structure






The cause and effect paragraph has the following structure or generic structure:

1.  Have a main idea on the topic of sentences that will be covered in the whole paragraph.

2.  Have supporting details or supporting sentences in the form of causes.

3.  End with a concluding sentence or a conclusion in the form of a result.


Example


Because

  • Because it is raining, she just stay at home.
  • The police arrested him because he broke into a bank.
Due to
  • He was absence due to his illness.
  • The old man was lost his foot, due to car accident.
AS
  • She can't read the letter as she is illiterate.
  • She deserved to get it , as what she already did.

So that

  • She did it so that you realize your fault.
  • I buy you a phone so that you can communicate with me.

Hence

  • He wants to take a leak . Hence, he looks so hurry.
  • She was starved. Hence, she was pale .
Therefore
  • They play football all day. Therefore, they feel tired.
  • My brother takes a study in Arkansas. Therefore, he needs a passport.

  Explanation text   Explanation text is a type of English text that contains how or why something happened. Generally, this type of text describes the process of something happening. The things described in the explanatory text are in the form of natural and social phenomena. Generic Structure of Explanation Text There are two parts to the Explanation Text, namely: General Statement Contains general information on topics to be discussed in the text. Explanation Contains a series of events (sequence of events) from a process which is the topic of the text. Closing The closing or closing part is optional or does not have to be in this text. This section may contain additional information or the author's opinion on the topics discussed.

       1. DEFINITION     There's two 'voices' of verbs, the first one is Active Voice and the Second one is Passive Voice. But in this article we only learn about passive voice.      The passive voice is a grammatical construction. The easiest way to explain it is by contrasting it with the active voice. The active voice is the standard English sentence structure. With passive voice, the subject is acted upon by the verb. For example:  Active: Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa.
