Explaining general truth and scientific facts.  This sentence is usually in the form of the present tense with the formula:  if + simple present, simple present. For example: If water reaches 100 degrees, it boils. (It is always true, there can't be a different result sometimes) More example; -If people eat too much, they get fat. -If you touch a fire, you get burned. -People die if they don't eat. -You get water if you mix hydrogen and oxygen. -Snakes bite if they are scared -If babies are hungry, they cry

Passive Voice

       1. DEFINITION     There's two 'voices' of verbs, the first one is Active Voice and the Second one is Passive Voice. But in this article we only learn about passive voice.      The passive voice is a grammatical construction. The easiest way to explain it is by contrasting it with the active voice. The active voice is the standard English sentence structure. With passive voice, the subject is acted upon by the verb. For example:  Active: Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa. Passive: The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci.      2. FORMULA      Usually, active sentences that can be transformed into passive sentences are in the form of active sentences containing transitive verbs (verbs that require a direct object) such as make, bring, buy, write and so on.  Conversely, passive sentences that contain intransitive verbs (verbs that don't require a direct object) such as cry, swim, go, arr...
